Prior to the Adra invasion, humanity was only just beginning to take its first step in truly exploring the final frontier of space. Small outposts were established on Luna and most of Earth’s aerospace vehicles were satellites and shuttles. With the arrival of the Adra most of this infrastructure and vehicles were wiped out, humanity learned then that a strong aerospace force would be needed to ensure their survival. In underground facilities and hangars, researchers, scientists, and engineers worked to reverse engineer damaged Adra ships to create the first line of human aerospace assault and reconnaissance vehicles, the TR-6B Fighters.
Favoring speed and maneuverability, the TR-6Bs are, relatively speaking, cheap to manufacture and while certainly not as advanced as Adra fighters, they have provided humanity the ability to fight on a new front.
Primarily used for recon and to attack enemy spaceships and ground units, the TR-6Bs, nicknamed “Banshees” after the loud screeching noise early prototypes made, excel at harassing hostiles. When intel on enemy fleets is required Banshees, accompanied by probes, are dispatched to quickly gather intel. Much like NTC ground forces, the Banshees are excellent for hit-and-run tactics, striking fast and retreating to a power position before striking once more. Piloted by a single individual, fighters are able to land and launch from planet surfaces rapidly.
Each Banshee is equipped with a laser-based cannon and have room for two additional high-ordnance weapons platform, which tend to be focused on penetrating ship hulls once shields have been disabled.
Normally Banshees make up the bulk of a NTC fleet, both as defensive and offensive units. During engagements they primarily focus on destroying enemy fighters and work to cripple hangar bays to prevent more from joining the fight. Once those objectives are complete, they work to disable enemy shields and weapons to open them up for devastating attacks. When not accompanying larger fleets, they work in squadrons to attack Adra infrastructure or provide air support to ground conflicts.
Adra Fighter Spaceship
The most common Adra spacecraft humanity has encountered, the Adra Fighter’s are extremely fast and maneuverable. They rival the human TR-6B, but they are much faster and come equipped with superior firepower. Although humans have been able to reverse engineer pieces and scrapes from destroyed Fighters, they have never been able to recover more than that. This is due to the fact that once a Fighter has sustained enough damage itself destructs, whether the pilot is alive or not. They come equipped with standard issue Adra laser weapons and have room for an additional weapons platform. Their armor Thoma and shielding are superior to humans and balance durability with speed.
Human Battleship Spaceship
Wishing to expand on the capabilities of the Destroyers, humanity dedicated many resources and decades to develop the first line of Battleships, nicknamed the “Colossus”. Built to be the apex of human ingenuity, Battleships are extremely armored and are equipped with the heaviest hitting weapons ever developed by mankind. The main battery is a weapon capable of accelerating condensed tungsten slugs at 1/100th the speed of light. Only Battleships are equipped with such a colossal weapon and when it was developed one of the engineers was quoted stating, “I think Steve Jacobs himself would fear such a thing”. Battleships are the largest, and most expensive ships to develop and currently only two are in active service, the TSC (Terran Space Colossus) Everest and the TSC High Noon. Aside from the main battery, Battleships are equipped with several weapon platforms for lasers, kinetic cannons, and missiles.
Each Battleship has crews of up to two-hundred and are captained by a NTC Admiral. They are equiped with laser cannons and can have 12 additional weapon batteries. Battleships primarily serve as the bulwark of a fleet, as both the hardest hitting ship and the defensive pinnacle. When accompanied by other various Warship class ships, fleets can adapt to any situation.
The day when Battleships were developed and first deployed marked the day humanity began to truly turn the tide against the Adra, and even though humanity is still outmatched they continue to make strides in the face of the impossible.
Adra Battleship- Spaceship
The Adra Battleships known as “Emperors”, are the apex of spacecraft in the galaxy. They are heavily armored warships and carriers, with massive batteries consisting of large laser and plasma cannons and missile platforms. Crew size is unknown but is speculated to be in the hundreds and potentially thousands. Its propulsion systems are unknown but is clearly more advanced than humanity’s and affords unrivaled speed. Their hull consists of an unknown black material that conceals the ship from radar, making them formidable threats. A strange distinction for these ships is the blue and white lines that run down the hull. It is believed these serve as ornamentation to distinguish each Battleship. Each ship is equipped with numerous laser cannons and has room for twelve upgraded weapons platforms, for plasma, nuclear, or missile- based weapons.
Unmanned Antigravity Tank
The Q-9 Anti-Gravity tank, known as the Duster, is an armored fighting vehicle intended as a primary offensive weapon in front-line ground combat. This tank design is a balance of heavy firepower, strong armor, and good battlefield mobility provided by an anti-gravity track system and a powerful engine; usually their main armament is mounted in a turret. It’s main armament is a powerful laser cannon.
The Anti-Gravity drive allows the Q-9 to move across all ground types, rough terrain and water. The tank hovers 3 feet above the surface but can move rapidly and is extremely mobile.
The tank can attack both land and air targets.
Atmospheric Precision Strike Missile Launcher
While developing the plasma cannons humanity also conducted research and design projects for weapons with a more “explosive” punch, with hopes of being an atmospheric weapon. Allowing the weapon to be fired from the ground and hit ground targets as well as targets in orbit.
The first design was that of the “Bulldog” Precision Strike Missile system. The Bulldog is a missile salvo that uses guided rockets capable of self-propelled flight.
The system holds several rockets at a time and has several firing modes: full payload, single fire, and burst. The full payload is typically reserved for dire situations and as the name suggests, it unleashes the entire rocket stockpile at a target or several.
Single fire launches a single rocket at a time and allows for precise aim and timing. Burst is the most common and allows for varying amounts of rockets to be launched at once or in a sequence.
The Bulldog is excellent in dealing damage, harassing, and suppressing targets at ranges of roughly 500 kilometers. The rockets themselves contain an insensitive munition (IM) propulsion system and IM energetic payload capable of defeating the set target(s).
